The Center for Integrated Regional Assessment originated in 1996 as an inter-college and inter-university community. Its focus was on interdisciplinary research and education in the Human Dimensions of Global Change at the regional level. In the last few years, there has been explosive growth in the science of coupled human-environment systems. CIRA invites you to join a broadening of its mission to include a more expansive view of human-environment interactions and a larger community of Penn State scientists.
